IJ Interiors is also well known for working its’ usual magic at the Dutch House, A luxury boutique villa in Bandarawela, located in the Uva province of Sri Lanka where the total interior and the kitchen was designed and directed by Isuru.
Thoughtful Interiors Rooted in Craft
A fusion of colonial styled furniture with a modern pallet of colours have draped a heavenly look and feel to this majestic property. Isuru has opted for a mix of Teak and Ebony in terms of furniture in the public areas and in the bed rooms, earthly coloured and opulently railed curtains, regal styled chairs etc. These are a few of the many things that would strike the eye as you enter the premises. Impression in the kitchen is all sunny side up where he has favoured a pick and match of Brick Orange and White in line with Natural Mahogany and appears to emit energetic vibes and creates a very delightful ambiance.
All of this detailed masterpieces he has used are all locally sourced and designed owing much to his principals of staying local and supporting sustainability as much as possible.
